Moonbuddy Bibi the Bird
Does your child have a full head, difficulty relaxing or does it take a long time before sleep finally comes? Moonbuddy is a small, gentle and interactive breathing buddy that helps children to slow down in a simple and tangible way.
Instead of having to listen to explanations or look at a screen, your child literally feels the breathing rhythm in their hands. Moonbuddy Bibi’s belly moves up and down quietly. By following the movement, calm breathing becomes very concrete and understandable.
A nice support for children who are easily overstimulated, think a lot or have trouble finding peace on their own.
Feeling instead of having to think
For some children , “take a breath” is easier said than done. Especially when a child is tired, tense or overstimulated. Moonbuddy makes breathing calmly tangible. Hold the buddy and feel how the belly slowly expands and shrinks again. Your child can follow the natural rhythm without complicated instructions.
This makes Moonbuddy particularly suitable as part of a quiet evening ritual, but also for moments when tension rises during the day.
This is how Moonbuddy works
Moonbuddy has been deliberately kept simple.
1. Turn on
Moonbuddy With one button you start a breathing exercise.
2. Hold it Your
child takes Moonbuddy in their hands and feels the movement of the belly.
3. Breathe along
When the belly expands, you inhale and exhale again when moving back.
4. Take a
moment A session lasts about six minutes and then stops automatically.
There are four different breathing rhythms, so you can choose what suits your child comfortably. The breathing rhythms vary from a somewhat faster rhythm to a slow rhythm of about six breaths per minute.
A nice aid for sensitivity to stimuli
Children who are sensitive to stimuli sometimes need a way to withdraw from all the impressions of the day. A tool does not have to add even more stimuli.
Moonbuddy works very simply:
- no app;
- no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth;
- no screen;
- no sound;
- no complicated settings;
- but a calm, palpable movement.
This allows your child to focus on one clear stimulus: the rhythm they feel in their hands.
For children with, for example, ADHD, autism or their own stimulus profile, such a tangible way of guiding can be pleasant. Moonbuddy is a tool for relaxation and self-regulation and not a medical treatment.
Not just before bed
Although Moonbuddy is very suitable for the evening ritual, you can also use it at other times.
Before going to sleep
A fixed moment with Moonbuddy can help to make the transition from a busy day to bed calmer.
After school
Want to unwind after a school day full of impressions? Let your child find a quiet spot and sit with Moonbuddy for a few minutes.
In case of tension or unrest
When emotions run high, a tangible rhythm can help to bring attention to the body for a while.
On the road
Due to its compact size, you can easily take Moonbuddy with you in a bag. This way, your child also has a familiar moment of rest at hand outside the house.
A tool that your child can use on their own
An important advantage of Moonbuddy is that a child can work with it independently. No phone or tablet is needed and a parent does not have to constantly supervise the exercise.
This fits in nicely with learning their own moment of rest: your child discovers step by step what helps to experience a little more relaxation.
Moonbuddy also stops automatically after about six minutes.
