Poul the Octopus is a weighted cuddly toy designed for children and adults who find it difficult to find peace in their bodies.

Flexibility in use
Poul can be used in many different ways. The weight at Poul is concentrated in the body and arms, which gives a pleasant feeling of embracing around the legs and body.

Soothing tactile stimuli
Poul’s ears are designed in such a way that they attract to the touch and therefore give tangible stimuli when you sit with Poul on your lap. The head of the weighted octopus also feels wonderfully soft, making this tactile stimulation soothing and pleasant.

Pressure relief and self-awareness
Poul can also be placed on the person’s abdomen/chest, and the arms can wrap around the body, especially at bedtime or in time-out situations. This slight pressure on the body gives the feeling of being able to feel yourself and contributes to a calming effect.

Stress-relieving effect of pressure stimuli
When the body is exposed to pressure stimuli, oxytocin is released, which has a stress-relieving effect and provides peace in a restless body.

Soft and tactile stimulating surface
Poul has a soft lumpy surface in his arms, as a form of suction cups, which gives curious fingers tactile stimulation. Poul can be used for calming and relaxation and can make a positive contribution to sleep.
