Tools for sensitive children, stimulus processing that provide peace and less tension are a weekly planner and the checkpad

Tools for sensitive children

When you enter our kitchen, there is a weekly planner on the wall, a planning board for children the Gezinnig brand. It is a great tool for sensitive children. It contains many different magnets. The pictures on the magnets are without much fuss, making it calm and clear.

Besides looking clear and fun, such a tool is really necessary…!

Overstimulated baby

Louise was easily overstimulated as a baby and suffered from allergies, including cow’s milk. That was quite careful and sometimes it went wrong.
Result… lots of thin diapers that day ☹

After a while we started to notice something;
Every Sunday it was a hit…! No matter how “neat” we had eaten. When we told our story to the dietician, she immediately came up with surprising advice. Because after that nice/quiet weekend, another working week was coming. Louise then went to our trusted childminder every Monday.

A planning board with photos for an overview

The advice was: hang up a planner. Then it is clear what is coming, when. This gives peace of mind and overview for a child. That’s right! I also encounter this in my work at school.
But Louise was only 2 years old. Would it be nice or necessary…?
Apparently, in addition to the allergies, this was also a reason that her stomach was upset.

I immediately started working with paper, markers and photos to make a simple planner. Because well… after all, she was only 2 years old.
We looked at the photos together every day. Childminder, at home or, for example, a party. We only made a basic thing visually.

Already the first Sunday was there, after weeks of … No more thin diapers and stomach cramps! Yay, it works! ?

So overview is very important to take away tension… and especially with sensitive children!

The weekly planner from Gezinnig

Still, but now that she’s older, we have to plan more things. To continue doing this in the same way, we found it much too big and restless. We wanted a nice, calm overview but also practical to use. So we started looking for aids. After looking around a bit, we came across the children’s weekly planner from Gezinnig .

Louise is now almost 7. Every Sunday we put the new week on it. Let’s see together what is coming. So we still use it every day and it has brought us a lot of peace and clarity.

Ideal tool for the morning and evening routine

To relax the morning and evening routines, we have been using the checkpad for a while. We chose this one to continue working with the same kind of pictures. Nice and clear and handy because it is easy to combine.

It’s super handy because you can scroll the “wheel” for each thing that has been done. Check! 😉

Aids for sensitive children provide peace of mind

Both the planner and the checkpad are really nice tools for our daughter in our house. When I see how much peace it has brought us, I wish that for everyone!
