Cleaning a chewing jewelry is regularly necessary for hygiene. Especially in schools, some teachers find chewing chains unhygienic. But here are some tips to clean them!

Teething chain cleaning, our tips
Cleaning tip 1
- Put some soap in warm water
- Put your chewing jewelry in the warm water
- Put your chew chain in the water with soapy water for 20 seconds
- Remove your chewing jewelry from the water, and drain the water
- Rinse your bite chain with lukewarm or warm water
- Your chew jewelry has been cleaned!
Cleaning tip 2
- Remove the cord from your chewing jewelry
- Put your chewing jewelry in the dishwasher (without cord!) which is less resistant to cleaning with soap and water.
- Turn on your dishwasher.
- Remove your bite chain from your dishwasher and attach the cord to your chew chain
Cleaning tip 3
Sterilizing your bite chain, how do you do that?
- Put your chew chain – without a cord – in boiling water, for example for 3 minutes. We always recommend this cleaning when using the chain for the very first time.
- After washing or sterilizing, let your bite chain cool down and dry. Within about ten minutes your bite chain will be clean and ready for use again!
